Try Scuba
The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. You will be in shallow confined water and well looked after by your instructor, so you can enjoy those first unforgettable breaths underwater and experience the magic of scuba diving. At the end of this short course, you will have earned your SSI Try Scuba recognition card and undoubtedly want to go diving again.
Livingseas conducts this program directly in the ocean at a nice protected site with plenty of fish and corals. We maintain a 1 to 1 student to instructor ratio, so you will be very well taken care of and well on your way to becoming a real diver!
Open Water Diver Course
Ever wondered about life under the sea? Here’s your chance to find out for yourself. The SSI Open Water Diver Course prepares you for your first underwater adventure, arming you with the necessary knowledge and skills you’ll need to dive safely and competently. Because you'll want to be at ease when you're immersed in the beauty of the ocean.
On this course, you will go through:
- 1 day of academic and pool session
- 2 days of open water training dives with 3 dives on each day
Remember the saying "practice makes perfect"? This is what we actually implement so by the end of the course with 6 dives under your belt, you'll be so comfortable in the water, you don't even wanna get out!
Upon your successful completion of the course, you’ll be qualified to plan and conduct open water dives with a teammate – up to a maximum depth of 18 metres.

My experience with the Open Water Course is extraordinary. We learned a lot, from the basics, the breathing, and the environments. The instructors are incredible. Agus, Keith, and Leon all contributed. The class was very engaging, it was a very active learning experience. Before we know it, the class was finished.
3 days of learning with Livingseas was a very nice experience. I now understand that there are certain techniques in diving. The instructors taught us step by step about it and to stay calm in any situation. Overall, it was super fun!
When I came here, it was actually very interesting. The instructors are very friendly and caring. They helped us a lot in the practical and the training side. They are many types of dive where we learn and then the last one will be the real dive where we pair up with buddies and we actually went down to see what they actually did also for the conservation which is very commendable.
