Get to know who we are
The Skinny Boy Gang
Bracuk, Dika, Kutus, Marco, Pasek, Pung, Surip
The Skinny Boys are all kids from Padang Bai. Born and raised here, they have all been closely connected to the sea since childhood. All of them were trained as divers by Livingseas and are a mainstay in our coral conservation project.
They take care of the smooth running of the diving trips and maintain the equipment. Get to know them and your fun is guaranteed!
Bracuk & Pung
Pung & Bracuk, part of the Skinny Boy Gang but also ambitious dive guides, love the ocean and the fish. They know the local dive sites by heart and can estimate the diving conditions. Their help, both above and below the water, will make you love trips with them!
Komang Surip
Komang is the second soul of Livingseas.
He organizes, negotiates and takes care of you during your trips on the boat and is our chief craftsman of Livingseas. Komang is also responsible for producing our Reefstars for the coral conservation project. Do you have a question or a problem? Komang is there for you!
Nengah Madiasa
Nengah was born and raised in Padang Bai, Bali and is deeply rooted in village life and structures. As the cultural liaison at Livingseas Asia, he communicates with all the offices and people responsible for the Livingseas projects and makes sure that everything runs smoothly. Although he is not a diver, Nengah, as a coastal person and religious village member closely connected to the ocean, implicitly understands the importance of oceans as the source of life
Leon Boey
Leon has been diving since 2005 and is an active SSI Scuba Instructor with several hundred certifications, from Open Water Diver to Tech Diver. In addition to his approach to dive education, Leon's mission is to preserve marine ecosystems. His knowledge of underwater life is immense and his vision to restore 50,000 m2 of reef here in Padang Bai has become a core value of Livingseas. He teaches all SSI courses (English) and leads our coral conservation program.
Albert Tamin
Charming Abe is an SSI Instructor with four years of teaching experience from beginner to advanced. His incredible patience and bright smile remove the difficulty from any beginner's course.
Born in Jakarta, Abe joined Livingseas 3 years ago and has since been a constant with the guests he enjoys spending evenings with and working with the Livingseas Coral Conservation Project.
Abe teaches all SSI courses (English, Indonesian) and will make your diving experience here in Padang Bai unforgettable!
Dylan Lim
He has taught all courses from beginner to advanced for over ten years here in Bali and knows the dive sites like the back of his hand. Dylan has the patience of a saint because of his calm and relaxed manner, especially in the context of diving courses.
On the side, Dylan is our Livingseas Videographer. Almost everything you see on social media was created by Dylan.
Dylan is also from Singapore and is already a veteran SSI Instructor.
He teaches all SSI courses (English) and is one of the most brilliant guides for the dive sites here in Bali!
Claudia & Peter Koch
Claudia and Peter have been diving in Bali since 1995, turned their backs on Germany in 2013 and settled in Padang Bai as active SSI instructors.
Both have ten years of experience teaching all diving courses from PADI and SSI and know the dive sites here in their sleep.
Claudia, as the only woman in the team, is called Mommy by everyone and talks like a waterfall. Besides being a diving instructor and guide, she handles all the guests' needs. She is always fully involved in making your stay as trouble-free and pleasant as possible.
Besides his incredible empathy during courses, Peter has a soft spot for muck diving and will show you even the smallest creatures in the water.
Peter has also trained as a diving instructor for mentally and physically disabled people with DDI (Disabled Divers International).
Peter & Claudia teach all SSI courses (German, English, Indonesian) and are happy to help you organize your stay in Indonesia.
